In the afternoon, adventure awaits! Head off campus to swim, rock climb, and enjoy the summer sun, or stay at REALM for a deep dive adventure: LEGO stop motion, sushi making, or coding your own video game.

Roots and Branches Summer Program
Calling all innovators, creators, dreamers, and doers! Get ready for a summer of art, science, and the great outdoors. With eight amazing themes, projects, and handfuls of excursions, campers will enter a world filled with possibility. Ages 4 - 6
Half-Day Program (9am - 12pm)
During our morning hours, when our brains are fresh and ready for challenge, our learners will sharpen their literacy, math, and STEAM skills through games, stories, projects, and more! We will also work on our communication skills and learn how to joyfully navigate a shared learning environment after being away from others for so long.
Full-Day Program (9am - 3pm)
After a morning of curiosity-filled learning, for the second half of our day, we are off into nature to enjoy the sun on our faces, the breeze on our backs, and the bounce in our step! We will play team games, challenge our physical prowess, and GET DIRTY!! With the beach just four blocks away and a zillion great parks at our disposal, we will have never-ending fun!

In Outward Boundless, we are headed out to explore the fascinating lands surrounding us. We will visit parks, splash pads, beaches, and more!! Using the beautiful outdoors, we will create, play, and learn together. Campers will dive into nature-inspired art projects, practice reading and storytelling under shady trees, explore early math through outdoor games and scavenger hunts, and express themselves through writing and drawing what they see and experience around them. This week is about curiosity, creativity, and connection—with nature and each other!

Are you ready to become a super sleuth? This week, campers will jump into exciting mystery adventures, crack secret codes, and work together to solve escape room-style challenges designed just for young minds. Through hands-on games, creative storytelling, and teamwork, we’ll stretch our thinking, build problem-solving skills, and have tons of fun along the way. Get ready to unlock the clues, solve the puzzles, and celebrate your big escape!

Get ready to investigate, explore, and get a little messy! This week, our curious campers will become young scientists—making observations, asking questions, and diving into hands-on experiments. They'll build their very own mini forensics lab, learn how science is all around us, and even explore the gooey, oozy side of science with magnetic slime and bubbly lava lamps. And don’t worry, bug lovers—we’re going on a bug hunt too! It's going to be a week full of discovery, creativity, and wiggly, giggly fun!

Let your imagination run wild! This week, our campers will become inventors, creators, and problem-solvers as we build wacky, wild, and wonderful crazy contraptions that do simple things in the silliest ways. We’ll team up for a homemade catapult challenge, dream up brand-new toys, games, and even silly fashion creations! Campers will have the chance to reinvent themselves through fun dress-up days and playful storytelling. And the big finale? Working together to build a giant treehouse creation to show off at the end of the week. It’s all about imagination, teamwork, and lots of laughs!

Step right up—it’s time to work together and build the most magical mini carnival ever! This week, our campers will team up to become designers, game-makers, and treat-tasters as we create our very own carnival, arcade, and mini golf course. We’ll take daily trips to the Santa Monica Pier to explore, play, and “research” the fun so we can bring the magic back to Realm. Each day, we’ll try a tasty treat and plan how to recreate it ourselves. We’ll also cool off with beach time, ocean dips, and playful stops at swings and rings. At the end of the week, families are invited to Carnival Realm, where all of our teamwork and creativity will come to life in one joyful, laughter-filled celebration!

We'll learn how to mix colors, add detail, and bring our ideas to life on paper. Will you draw a swimming mermaid, a dragon soaring through the clouds, or a wizard casting spells with a fiery wand? The choice is yours! As we experiment with different art styles and materials, we'll build core art skills while creating magical masterpieces straight from our imaginations.

All Subjects, Specializing in Literacy and Math Educational Support for nuerodivergent thinkers - Michelle is a highly passioante and patient tutor who can support kids in making huge leaps in a short amount of time! She can work with kids who struggle with dyslexia, processing disorders, disgraphia and more. She is also skilled at early literacy and math instruction!
